The Holidays Are Here Tending to your emotional well-being

As the holidays draw near, many of us find ourselves juggling a mix of emotions—excitement, anticipation, and sometimes a quiet undercurrent of stress. This season tends to amplify whatever we’re already carrying, whether that’s joy or exhaustion, connection or loneliness. That’s why preparing for the holidays isn’t just about planning gatherings or wrapping gifts, it’s also about tending to your emotional well-being.

This is a good time to check in with yourself:

  • What do you need more of this season?

  • What might you need a little less of?

  • Where can you create pockets of rest or breathing room?

Even small acts like simplifying your commitments, building in recovery time between events, or letting go of the pressure to “show up” perfectly can make the season feel more manageable and meaningful.

If you notice old patterns resurfacing, relationships feeling heavier, or your energy dipping more than usual, you’re not alone. The holidays have a way of bringing up what we haven’t had time to process. Therapy can be a grounding touchpoint during or after the holidays, a space to slow down, reflect, and receive support without judgment.

Whether you're looking to prepare ahead or need someone to talk things through once the season is underway, sessions are available. If you feel you could benefit from extra support, I encourage you to reach out and schedule an appointment. You don’t have to navigate this time on your own.

Wishing you steadiness, warmth, and moments of genuine peace in the weeks ahead.
